A little sketch of an interesting skyline of old chimneys with Carlisle cathedral in the background. I’m sure this is typical of an English village skyline, very different from the roofs and buildings around my part of the world.
Painted from a photo by Scattycat for the Wet canvas 2 hour weekend challenge. It is a way for me to see and paint different parts of the world when others kindly post photos of their local environment.
Pen and wash in a Canson Montval sketchbook. Not really suitable paper for layers but it was fun trying. 24 x 19 cm.
